How do I know if Executive Coaching is right for me?
If you’re looking for a thinking partner, so you can navigate a situation or enhance a skill set, then coaching is for you. I don’t tell you what to do, but I help you find your way.
Your corporate experience is not in my industry. How can you coach me?
I understand people and I understand the nuances of a global, complex business environment. I have successfully coached senior leaders in finance, private banking, aviation, hospitality, manufacturing and more. I’ve learned that regardless of the specifics of their situation and the dynamics of their environment, the core of the challenge and conflicts transcend industries.
My industry/ department/ situation is ‘special’ and you’d have to know it as an insider to help me.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve heard people say, “But, bankers/ lawyers/ (insert any profession here) are a breed unto its own. You have to know us to help us.” Sure, you may want to give me some context, but no, your ‘people problems’ aren’t that different from everyone else’s.
